Director of the Seminars on Civil Courage run by Gariwo-Sarajevo and co-founder of the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kondor was brutally murdered on 22 February 2007 in Bijelina, Serb Republic. Lecturer in sociology, philosophy and democracy, he is survived by his wife and two daughters

Moshe Bejski
dies
The President of the Yad Vashem Commission of the Righteous died in hospital in Tel Aviv on 6 May 2007. Born in the Polish village of Dzialoszyce in 1920, he survived Auschwitz thanks to Oskar Shindler’s famous list. He emigrated to Israel in 1945 and devoted his life to the search for the "Righteous among the Nations". He is buried in the Kiryat Shaul Cemetery in Tel Aviv
