The Gardens of the Righteous are places of remembrance where trees are planted to remember those who have:

  • opposed crimes against humanity all over the world,
  • tried to save the persecuted in situations of extreme evil, such as genocides and mass murders,
  • refused the rationale of submission to totalitarian power with their own moral resistance,
  • striven to safeguard the memory of the victims against all attempts to deny the reality of the persecutions.

The trees dedicated to the Righteous remind us that, even in extreme situations, there is always a choice, it is always possible to say yes or no, to remain indifferent or to act.
In every situation there are Righteous people who try to oppose. Their example is a warning and a call to our conscience.

There is a tree for each human being who has chosen Good over Evil.
